A woman on Sunday morning woke up to find a huge alligator hiding in her backyard as she made her way to sweep the compound.

The shock, according to accounts, is because the house were the reptile was found is not close to any river or lake.

The woman, Maame Kyerewaa , said she could not tell the number of days the alligator has lived in her house.

Residents say the alligator may be a “god” who has visited them.

According to Kumasi-based Ultimate FM, the Landlord insisted that the alligator be killed but some residents objected to the idea suggesting that the elders perform some rituals to the ‘gods’ to allow the alligator disappear on its own.
